Excerpt 3

I arrived at the coordinates and immediately saw the body of a male on the path a few feet ahead. It was a secluded trail outside of Vancouver at 6:33am. Trevor Kingston had suffered a heart attack at only 54 while getting in an early morning run. The unsettling part is that he was felled one day ahead of schedule.

That meant that Gov was starting to expand his capacity and killing abilities. This was his 43rd victim. The variables were now expanding to both a shorter time between kills and the kill being more time ahead of schedule. It also meant that he was able to collect more life force. All of those were troubling thoughts. All to be dealt with later.

I saw Deliah approach with the soul form of Kingston she found wandering among the trees. Deliah is one of the transport angels who would normally assist in taking the soul to the next level. She was one of the few that I worked with in this new process. Deliah is the one assigned to Earth.

She was beautiful with long, raven colored hair. A smile always beamed as she offered a comforting nature that put the soul at ease. Her long flowing white robe was a contrast to my black suit. It was the 21st time we had worked together.

Deliah walked hand-in-hand with the soul form of Kingston. He had a confused look as he noticed his body on the path for the first time.

"Do not worry" Deliah said soothingly.

I extended my right hand which the soul took with his free hand. Together Deliah and I helped guide him back into his body.

"Make the most of your new time" I whispered.

Once they were merged the life force flowed from me back into Kingston. As it flowed I saw glimpses of his future that he would enjoy with his new time. The birth of a grandson to his oldest son Douglas. Walking his daughter Kim down the aisle at her wedding. The birth of a grand daughter to Kim and her husband. A trip to Italy with his wife Lindsay.

I could also see other time lines that were changed. The biggest impact involved his youngest son Cory who spiraled into drug and alcohol use after his father's death. Months later he was driving impaired and had a head on collision that killed himself and a family of six. The change in the time line spared all seven.

Command instructed me to give him an extra five years and twenty seven days. It was more than some and less than others. I don't know how they came up with the numbers but weighing positive impact was a factor. I know that his son Cory will be able to cope with his death much better in the future.

Kingston exhales the first breath of his new life. He starts to stir as the blood flows and his heart is healed. As he opens his eyes Deliah and I nod at each other and go our separate ways. I know it won't be the last time we'll be working together.
